Expert Class Product Development

Expert Class Product Development

Developing and commercializing a new life sciences product or service requires meticulous research, planning, strategy and management. It often encompasses different goals than research and grant funding. There are several necessary steps, and a strategy needs to be well defined in order to be successful. Product development requires input from and between various groups within a company and, for academia, outside entities. The product development stakeholder groups/entities are research, marketing, development, regulatory, manufacturing, clinical, safety/efficacy, and quality. Companies use different strategies for efficient product development such as outsourcing all development activities or jointly using public-private partnerships. During this expert class experienced entrepreneurs will talk about their strategies and lessons learned for the efficient development of (bio)pharmaceutical products and diagnostic services.

The expert class program is set up in an interactive way such that the participants have also the possibility to bring their own questions and discuss issues they encounter in their own (start-up) company and/or business case. The expert class will also give the possibility to broaden the participants network.
