Are you a researcher in the life sciences and are you looking to turn your research into a viable product or service that helps patients, physicians or other researchers? Make sure you give your start-up company the best possible start by joining the lifesciences@work Venture Challenge.
The lifesciences@work Venture Challenge is a 10-week programme to develop an initial idea – a breakthrough research result – into a solid business case. Participate and learn to build a customer value proposition, identify key risks and assumptions, develop a validation and de-risking strategy, build and pitch a Venture Plan and get connected to Life Sciences experts, investors and seasoned entrepreneurs. The Venture Challenge offers life sciences researchers the opportunity to develop the business cases needed to raise money to develop their ideas further, enabling them to reach the market and patients. A personal contribution is asked and the prize money for the winner is 25.000 euro to be invested in the company. Since 2008, more than 150 teams have participated in the programme, most of which have successfully started a biotech or medtech company. Together, these companies have raised more than EUR 750 million in investments. The Venture Challenge is recognized internationally as it has reached the finals of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2022.
Are you curious if the lifesciences@work Venture Challenge could be of value to you? The best way to find out is to ask an alumnus of the programme. You can find participants of previous editions here. We’re happy to make the connection and we’re always open to discuss if the Venture Challenge would be a good fit for you. You can also reach out for specific questions as we’re very experienced in helping life sciences start-ups (to be). Don’t hesitate and request a call via firstname.lastname@example.org.
