Value creation in Life Sciences
The Netherlands remains a major player in the global life sciences industries, with a strong technological position in areas such as human and veterinary vaccines, biopharmaceuticals and health infrastructure. Furthermore the Netherlands has a long history in the industrial-, agro- industrial and horticultural (plant breeding) sectors where biotechnology is applied. The Dutch sector owes this position to collaboration, cooperation and coalition building between businesses, research institutes and universities, often supported by government: linking research to product and business creation.
